The Kentucky Colonels were a professional basketball team that played in the from 1967 until 1976, first at the Convention Center, now known as the , and later at Freedom Hall. The team had the highest winning percentage of any franchise in the league's nine-year history. Notable players included, , , and Dan Issel.
